Systems
GfG's fixed gas detection
systems are available as either easy to operate single point units or
as larger, multiple point systems. These systems consist of controllers
and up to several hundred transmitters that communicate with each other.
The transmitter converts the measured gas concentration to an electrical
signal which is then transferred to the controller. The controller displays
the gas concentration and immediately activates alarms in case of a gas
leak. Advanced features such as data logging or online data transmission
allow the user to easily monitor changes in the environment. The stand
alone unit is a combination of one transmitter and one controller.

Controller
GfG controllers are
designed to operate any transmitter offering either a 0.2 to 1 mA or a
4 to 20 mA signal. The controller processes the electrical signal received
from the transmitter, evaluating and displaying the measured gas concentration.
All controllers offer three on-board relays that are activated if the
gas concentration exceeds the alarm threshold. All controllers are available
as 1 to 4 channel controllers, meaning that one to four transmitters detecting
the same gas in the same range can be connected to one controller.

Transmitter
The transmitter's sensor
is the "nose" of a fixed gas detection system. The sensor is
located in a metal sensor enclosure which is attached to the transmitter.
Electronics inside the transmitter convert the gas concentration into
an electrical signal for interference free transfer to the controller.
The transmitter and the controller can be installed several hundred meters
apart from one another.

Stand
Alone Units
Stand alone units are
designed for applications where only one fixed point of detection is needed.
The stand alone unit is a combination of one transmitter and one controller.
The sensor detects the gas and converts the concentration into an electrical
signal which is processed inside the unit. The stand alone unit is equipped
with relays that activate external alarm devices. |
